A Chattel Mortgage is an ideal way to finance a car or other assets that are purchased primarily for business use. If you’re an individual who predominantly uses your car for work, a Sole Trader or a Company, you may qualify for a Chattel Mortgage.

Under a Chattel Mortgage GST does not apply to the monthly payments, however if the purchaser is registered for GST the GST component on the purchase price of the item may be recoverable through your BAS.
